Improving yield with induction heating (IH)

Induction heating (IH) is a non-contact heating method that directly generates heat without using flames to heat conductive materials such as metals and carbon. **Benefits of Induction Heating** - **Improvement of Cycle Time/Takt Time** The output of induction heating is consumed directly on the workpiece as self-generated heat, allowing for rapid temperature rise. - **Improvement of Yield and Ensuring Reproducibility** Due to electrical control of the heating, the reproducibility of the heating process is enhanced. With high responsiveness, fine temperature control is also possible, making it useful even for heating processes that require precise temperatures, such as aluminum brazing. - **Improvement of Workpiece Quality** The shape of the heating coil allows for control over the heating area. Additionally, rapid heating reduces heat conduction to areas that do not require heating, which is expected to improve quality. - **SDGs/Decarbonization** By directly transmitting energy to the object being heated, thermal losses are minimized. Efficiency can reach up to 90-95%, significantly reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions in the manufacturing process.
